From the desk of the HYF Executive Director
Dear friends,
Following the recent announcement of my selection as the first Executive Director of the Himalayan Youth Foundation, I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and express my heartfelt gratitude to each of you who has supported this remarkable organization over the years.
I am deeply honored to step into this role with Himalayan Youth Foundation. My career has been devoted to working alongside communities in developing countries — supporting locally led initiatives that create lasting opportunity and dignity. That work has always been more than a profession for me; it is a calling that aligns deeply with my values and passions.
Because of that, HYF’s mission immediately resonated with me.
For nearly two decades, HYF has transformed the lives of young people in Nepal by providing not only education, but also stability, care, and the opportunity to dream of a future that once seemed out of reach. This work exists because of the extraordinary vision and commitment of Micheline, the dedication of the late David Bidwell, and the many partners, Sponsors, and other supporters who have faithfully walked alongside them for decades.
I step into this role with deep respect for that history and for the legacy that has already been built. I hope to honor that legacy while working with all of you to continue strengthening and expanding the impact of HYF. The young people supported through this organization are extraordinary, and their achievements are a direct reflection of the generosity and belief of supporters like you who have opened your hearts to them.
In the coming months, I look forward to getting to know many of you personally, hearing your stories, and learning what first inspired you to support HYF and Kailash Home. I believe the strength of this community is one of the Foundation’s greatest gifts, and I am excited to get started on what we can accomplish together in the years ahead.
Please know how grateful I am for the trust that has been placed in me. I am committed to stewarding this responsibility with care, integrity, and a deep sense of purpose.
